Copia (5) de abuela copia.jpg

Throughout the years, each one of us has had very particular encounters with our family’s photographic files, specifically with our parents’ and grandparents’ wedding albums. Going through these images made us wonder about our motivation for photographing weddings and we soon realized that doing this is significant work in itself; for these photographs not only represent a bridge to past times but also a way to document the era we live in.

By looking at these photos, the hairstyles, the dresses, the flared pants, the cars and every detail that happens around these events, we find clues that allow us to imagine other times, to wonder about our parents before they were parents and our grandparents before they were grandparents. This is the main reason why our approach to weddings is a more documentary one and why we try to give a special meaning to every detail within this narrative.

We look forward to establishing a close bond with each couple we meet that will help us tell their story in an intimate and sincere way. It moves us to think that in a few years someone will find those photographs and going through them will feel the same way we feel today from our place as children and grandchildren.

I live and work at Mexico, City. In recent years I’ve collaborated as photographer and photo editor for several magazines while I also enjoy teaching.

To me, photography is an excuse to relate to people, places and situations that I otherwise wouldn’t.

A strong supporter of the less is more philosophy, I love to think of photography as a space of order within the chaos.

For the last six years I have worked in the editorial industry as a photographer and photography editor for several magazines. I currently live in my hometown.
